Good day from Aceh, Sumatra! Our team has arrived earlier this morning by a small plane on the airport of Takengon. They will visit multiple farms and coops during the next few days to do our yearly crop survey for the Conventional, Organic, FTO Gayo/Mandheling and Wild Kopi Luwak coffees we source from this region.

Meet pak Sukardi, he is one of our oldest farmers and also the collector for his village, which is quite unique for this region. At his farm there is a washing station and coffee pulping unit to process the coffee cherries after picking. During the past years I have learned a lot from pak Sukardi about how to process coffee under the “giling basah” method. We are very proud to work with him.
